So I was finding some stuff to read and I really want to read a good isekai bl one day, but every time there’s an isekai bl it’s NEVER what I want. I just want a regular isekai story that just happens to have a ml instead of a fl. Like, why is it so hard to ask for?? It’s always like, oh they isekaied into omegaverse or oops I got summoned to another world to be the wife(male) of this random fantasy king
LIKE NO. WHERES THE FANTASY ADVENTURE STORY. THATS THE PERKS OF ISEKAIS.
THEY ALWAYS IMMEDIATELY GO TO THE SMUT AND THATS NOT WHAT IM HERE FOR. WHERES THE PLOT. GIVE ME SOME PLOT AND THEN THE SMUT OR SOMETHING
like, is it such a big ask to get a cliche isekai power fantasy story but then they meet a hot guy on their journey and they fall in love??like, you don’t even need to do much world building, im fine with generic fantasy setting with slimes and dragons!

Like, when I hear isekai bl, I have a CLEAR idea of what isekai means and I just want it to be a regular power fantasy isekai story. But that’s NEVER what current isekai bls are like. Current ones are just a bl with an isekai setting! I want an isekai with bl in it! There’s a clear difference!
REAL. Like pls just give us a good plot where the isekai fantastical element is the major part of the story TTTT In the isekais the romance is always the subplot…. Why can’t this be it

No that’s why I get so sad ;; I’m just honestly so sick of people saying something is an isekai bl when it’s just another one of the “omg i got summoned in another world to be the wife(male) of insert generic ruler” type of stories. Like, you gotta know that’s not what I’m thinking of right?? Like, when has a regular isekai story had that premise? I want a regular isekai but there’s a hot man as a love interest instead of a growing cast of harem stereotypes!
(Like, I understand it technically is an isekai bl by definition, but it’s written too much like a bl? I want it to be written like an isekai)
I think the major problem is that majority of isekai bls are for like one volume only so they have to rush the romance. What we need is for an isekai bl to be serialized for a longer run or something.
Also, I just want a generic fantasy setting honestly. Like, you don’t need to world build so much guys ;; I read isekai to brain rot at 4:00 am

Yeah!! Like, it’s just the curse that bls always have one volume out before they get serialized. So, they often have to make the main couple’s romance happen in like 5-6 chapters. So you either get a rushed romance or a rushed plot or both.
(Btw I’m mainly talking about Japanese mangas as they kinda made the isekai genre boom)

I want a story where mc can read minds but suddenly meets the one person they can’t read the mind of. However, it’s nothing like fate or destiny, the other person just is so stupid they don’t have a single thought going through their head that they don’t say aloud.
This is cause I hate the mind reading stories where they can’t read that one fated person’s mind cause that’s not what I’m here for lol. I’m here for mind reading and if you won’t give me it, at least make the reason funny!
I’d also like it if once the other person starts falling for mc, they actually do have one thought pop up in their mind about how they love them. Then, mc picks up on it but doesn’t know if they misheard, since they’ve never heard their inner thoughts before. Like, that would be such a cute scene.

I want a story where the mc is a person in charge of a “create a harem protag” type system, who chooses poor virgin saps and changes them into harem protags.
The mc gets assigned a person who looks like a loser and the perfect person for the system. They introduce themselves to the person, but they look disinterested. Anyway, the system has already attached themselves to the person so the mc has to do his best to turn the person into a harem protagonist.
What he doesn’t know is that the person is actuallya handsome guy who’s also gay and not interested in girls at all lol. However, they’re going along with it cause mc is their type and they’re trying to romance them instead.

And then, I think she ends up working for this high schooler aged boy who’s a dick but rich. The mc didn’t take his shit though and slowly he became a better person. It turned into a romance story between the two

Ngl, I kind of want a story where the mc gets reincarnated into a novel that they’ve never read but only read the spoilers of cause they do that before reading novels, in case they won’t like it. However, that triggers as a “story you’ve read” in the reincarnation system and now they have to navigate the new world while only knowing the spoilers someone else gave, that may or may not be accurate lol(like, they know major plot spoilers but no idea how it happens and not even what the characters look like other than random descriptors lol)
On the other hand, I want a story where the mc read a story and reincarnates into another world, but they overly planned every scenario based off the original story and about how their actions will change the story. So there’s a lot of scenes where they seem like they’ll be caught off guard but then they go “actually, i expected this to happen in my simulations! Time to put plan 1,675 into use!” Lol, like someone who’s overly planned and prepared, who also takes into account the butterfly effect and stuff lol
