BREAK IT OFF IS A BOP OF A SONG
initially I was all taken in and in love with how wholesome it all is, but reading it now, I feel something is missing. Where is the drama? The angst? The toxicity? I mean sure, this is a healthy and cute young love story bur what is life without the spice of it? The adversity, the trials and tribulations that lead to untold triumph and repeating itself in perpetuity?
Basically, it’s nice that they are shy and reserved and contented (for now) with their superficial indulgences of courtship but I want substance that can only come from raw and unfiltered characterization. I think that the author is too focused on the gimmick of the story (“let’s make a relationship transactional”) at the moment, to spare pages dedicated to something that’s more than a fluff piece and I hope for it to come in due time because an mf is waiting y’all.
I kinda get your perspective but we only have 7 chapters right now, let it marinate for a lil bit and for sure the author will throw in the spice and angst. Gotta have the couple develop some feelings before any hurt can happen after all lol. As for me though, I wouldn't really mind if it stays as it is cuz I love me some slice of life and stress-free story (づ￣ ³￣)づ

Man I’m not actually a big fan of tropes but for this case, I think throwing in some generic ol’ tropes, maybe miscommunication, could be an easy fix to get some angst goin’. I do agree it’s earlier into the series so it likely won’t happen but I can certainly wish ^^

After rereading from start to finish, I can just tell these two furries will be happy tgt. I think yeah, they are definitely attracted to each ofher (which makes the smut so enjoyable ლ(´ڡ`ლ) ) and are just trying to navigate each other’s needs, boundaries, and communicate. They are a pretty new couple so them overthinking stuff or having miscommunication issues are a very normal problem and while it’s not nothing, I don’t think that it’s enough to place too much concern over. Jus please take the story for what it is, which is hot animal smut (i forgot, but ch1 is literally just [BANG] smut.) and don’t fight each other over this. This has good exploration of psychological elements behind smut, but also its never that deep where you have to shame and criticize each other over (btw) fictional characters
