so according to spoilers, he is actually a girl. she shows up later as a girl and ends up in his harem. she's also from south Korea, and was someone he knew, and after she dies, she is sent back to SK with her powers and becomes the ruler of earth, with sk at the center of power. so yeah... ig if it's a girl, she's a love interest, but if it's a dude, he's a crazy pyscho who deserves death.
honestly, it could've been interesting. a mc that pulls both genders? epic. speaks volumes of his charm. having a gay yandere villain could've been some sort of commentary of those degenerate yandere bl stories, which ofc would have been uncalled for, but nevertheless unprecedented in a power fantasy and thus have plenty of potential to explore. but nah, author ruined it by thinking with his crotch and really thought it was a good plot twist or smth
since this is one of the rarer type of bl stories (bl OI), i was pretty excited, but IMO the execution fell flat (but the lesbian side plot is quite nice). just based on the prologue, with how all the ml candidates are framed, the black-haired duke stands out amongst the three. so it's likely he is the ml. he is also the one with the most enigma in the story; his background still fairly obscure, so it will likely be explored later as an arc; more evidence he is ml. the crown prince's obsession is portrayed as a flaw in the narrative, but the duke's sexual harassment? nada. the mc has a more or less equal dynamic with the cp and knight, but with the duke, it's obvious he has him in the palm of his hands, they may be bantering, but mc doesn't reject his advances and is forced to go along with whatever he wants (ex. forcing mc to go on a 'date' with him after again sexually harassing him. more evidence) It's frankly so boring bc of this regurgitated teasing x teased dynamic.
also, I'm just irritated with the mc's response to his SA while he was drunk? like how is he not horrified hen he saw the marks on his body? and then it's just brushed off like that, bc mc was embarrassed and the mls wasn't giving a straight answer? if it was not one of the mls that SA him, you know full well the author would give the subject the respect it deserves... what a prime example of 'it's fiction, so it's ok'.
heard there'll be at least 3 girls that like him. blue-haired girl, red-head, and an empress(?). but the blue-haired gives on him when she learns the empress is interested in him, so red-head is endgame. also heard that in a future event, tragedy will strike and everyone turns on him/gives up on him maybe but red-head. so she will redeem herself hopefully
say what you will about the angel, but i find her cute. the point is there are multiple facets to the angel and demon, like how the angel is not completely angelic, the demon is not entirely demonic. but cuz of shared interests, they can reconcile their differences and be friends... but ngl, the story kinda diverged from this concept, so if u just dislike one over the other, it's prob due to bad writing.
am i the only one that thinks the second couple is kinda forced? they didn't really interact until zayne pretended to be a girl and messaged bran, and bran just kinda fell for him along the way even tho they only gave morning/night greetings? not to mention zayne is in middle school? there is practically no foundation, unlike the first couple
edit: i rest my case. bran is at least 17-18, and zayne is 14-15. i might be a bit biased, but the writing for the second couple's romance is not as good or compelling as the first couple. their drama feels kinda dumb, undeveloped, and forced.
not sure what was the point of having mc in a relationship with a much older married man; to enforce their point about married gay man being bats, i suppose? ngl i also have to appreciate that the author didn't portray the relationship and older guy in an entirely predatory light bc simply villainizing him as a pedo would go entirely against their point about how we as a society simplify concepts to mere stereotypes to which we either condemn/condone without any in between, so that we have an easier time understanding the world. it might not be representative of the lgbt people, but it's probably not unlikely that this type of relationship can occur irl. still, the story could've gone without his incestuous lust for his son (btw nowhere does it say he is in love with his son, it simply says that he desires him). and, it's concerning how the relationship is not brought up by the lesbian or the fujsohi... i want to give author the benefit of the doubt, but they sure are making it hard to
Did you just seriously equate homophobia to people condemning pedophiles?….. Gay people don’t hurt anyone by being gay. Pedophiles are nasty predators who hurt children for their own sick desires. If you’re a person who realises they have pedophilic desires and goes out to get help - based. If you act on your desires - go to jail forever. And I’m saying this as a person in a homosexual relationship where both me and my boyfriend have been scarred for life by nasty predators and pedophiles, sometimes with sick incestuous desires.
no? im honestly confused about how you came to that conclusion. it's been a while since I've read this story, but i have never implied this in my comment. I'm sorry if it seemed that way. i was just appreciating the story for its nuances on people, like the pedo, that instead of simply being a creepy pedo villain with incest tendencies, we are given more insight into his chara, and by extension, similar people irl. even if it's a flawed story.
