it seemed the author wanted to create a nuanced story, and had a general idea of the charas and the flow of the plot, but they completely butchered the execution. I think the author just stopped caring about the story along the way. a prime example of the opposite of "show, don't tell". despite several minor plot threads that could've tied to a potential takeaway, the author just swept it under the rug to complete the story in under 30 chapters (ex: the high schooler mc was taking care of, the doctor and his wife, mc's estranged family, ml working for a mafia boss, ml's birth village). it was way too fast-paced, the emotionless tone of the story hardly ever changes despite the several dark psychological elements, and there were several moments that could've been angsty but just never were. like, the mc's estranged relationship with his family and hometown bc the ml indirectly ruined his life? and ml and his mom's abusive relationship? mc's deteriorating mental health? ML BEING SUDDENLY BIPOLAR AND LOSING HIS FUCKING LEGS? (rather than traumatizing, it's more like WTF just happen?). it's never given the proper attention or buildup it needed, instead, it's completely trivialized with the 'comedic' and 'wholesome' moments.
mc is such a fking moron. also, i bet the seme's so-called stalker is actually in love with uke instead
