This is so weird from an American perspective. Actors and actresses date and get married here all the time. I would imagine that there's more pressure on teen actors and actresses to remain single since they are underage and are expected to be role models, but I think most Americans would be furious if their favorite performers were forbidden from having a romantic relationship. Isn't love a basic human right?
I agree it took me a long time to completely understand some of the celebrity plot lines in manga and Anime. I was super confused at first but the more I understood about pop culture or "Hollywood" in other countries, I sympathized more than ever with what some celebrities have to go through. You're Damn right love is a basic human right but outside pressure to conform and fit yourself into a specific mold or Type can be overwhelming to say the least. Especially if you've already sacrificed so much to attain your career. S
The only way Henry can be with Seth is if he cuts Sam out of his life. Sam and Henry are too close, and any man who tried to become serious with Henry wouldn't be able to deal with that relationship.
But they are best friends. Closer than best friends. They are like family, and I don't see Henry cutting Sam out. I don't see Sam letting him do it either.
I wish I understood what was going on in Sam's head. Why did he get married? Why hasn't he made a move? Does he not understand that he loves Henry? Why is he being so sneaky?
I want to love Sam and Henry, but Seth is the only one taking any risks. BUT I don't think that Henry and Seth can be together. Sam and Henry are each other's whole world. If Henry starts dating Seth, he'll have to put some distance between himself and Sam and neither of them want that. The whole reason they are being pussies is because they don't want to lose their friendship, but if Henry gets with Seth, his friendship with Sam will have to change. It wouldn't be fair to Seth if Henry kept meeting up with Sam everyday and letting Sam hang all over him like he does.
But it really seems like Seth is the one... Ugh... I like them both. What a mess!
He got married because he was a thoughtless pushover who can't stand up for himself, that's the same reason he never confessed to Henry after all these years, he has no self-motivation, he just goes along with everyone else's shit. He gets married because he didn't want to hurt someone's feelings with a rejection, he takes over a cafe because someone asks him to. If he ends up alone because he never grew a pair and took a chance, it's his own damn fault, honestly. He's a grown adult, he should be able to make his own decisions at this point.
Wasn't the bananas thing a sports thing? When you sweat a lot you lose potassium and other electrolytes and vitamins... so I guess bananas would be good for you, plus they have more calories than most other fruits but still have a lot of sugar carbs for energy. Though in the US people are more likely to suck on orange slices or drink Gatorade for energy.
Oh also, fun fact, bananas have anti-depressant properties. Though that's probably not relevant to the story.
As someone who hasn't even read this story, and just came here to see what it was, I love this (for me) random comment about bananas haahahah.
First of all, the title being just "bananas" is amazing, and also the detailed explanation.
That fact about bananas having anti-depressant properties is actually really interesting tho.
Too bad I don't like bananas.
I don't think I fully understood the one with the fox yokai
