please dont ruin the manga for anyone else, i just feel like you guys clearly cant handle a ml like that from the personality (no offense) you have to remember he has his own problems too, different statuses and then then unlabeled "forbidden" romance bc ice & fire never mix. he bullies or annoys nunnaly bc it's his way of distancing himself from her but he cant help and still fall for her anyway (idiot)
there's a reason why yayul isnt the ml, if i remember correctly (its been a long time since ive read the raws but im pretty confident im not wrong though)
so you guys remembered how yayul killed yeon, right? well the reason was bc he wanted to take revenge towards the demonic sect. why is the demonic sect mentioned? bc apparently yeon's mother is from the demonic sect.
yayul took a revenge towards the head of the demonic sect (yeon's grandfather from the demonic sect) by killing yeon.
tbh i wouldnt want a ml like that either... it's giving the abandoned empress. and besides, the chemistry between ryuchung and yeon from the novel is good, they're both so lovely.
i hope just bc yayul isnt the ml, means you guys will stop reading this manhwa, it's a pretty good and amazing manhwa, give it a chance :)

once it was showed that ulysses used time magic to rewind just for liesel, all my feelings crumbled down and i cried i really thought it was the typical moving on to another male lead BUT IT WAS STILL THE CROWN PRINCE (just stuck in the jerk gideon's body)
