Are you talking about the manhua or the novel? Well whichever it is I suggest you start from the beginning because the donghua even though based on the novel the plot doesn't unfold in the same order. And the manhua is purely based on the novel so read from the first chapter. Since you have already watched the first season of the donghua you shouldn't have a hard time understanding the plot. But one thing, if you read the novel or manhua now it will spoil season 2 and the upcoming season 3 of the donghua for yo.
