The truth is that those comics are written by and for women, and they usually like straight men. It is kind of a marketing thing, like "I can be yours, my lady, so you can worship me, but the story is great because my love surpased the boundarys of gender, so you can love me even more".
When I read those lines saying "I am straight, but I love you anyway", my head just skips them so I can keep reading without rolling my eyes to the back of my head.

Have you tried using adblockplus on MRM? I have used it (on my laptop) for years and haven't had an issue with viruses when using MRM. You could try yaoihavenreborn (the selction's not as large as MRM) or yaoimangaonline.

I had the same problem with adblockplus. I got Ublock origin (also free) and changed my settings so they blocked everything from MRM. And now I never get ads! However you have to make sure to adjust the settings because if you leave the standard settings it won't be enough.
