I feel like the “copycat” is Baron (I could still be wrong though). It just adds up to me. The memo pad Jonathan found at the beginning, Baron made sure to ask of he saw the last page. The muddy boots, and Jonathan’s name being scratched out of the memo pad. He even sent in Jonathan for the interview with Kister, possibly to trigger his jailbreak to target and kill Kister before he can kill Jonathan.

And this is why it won't be Baron. If this story is over the line they won't easily let us guess the criminal..(lol just my thoughts)
