Yeah, his underling cancelled the Omega's dad's contract with the gallery. The Alpha seme had hired the dad personally way back when and was pissed. The underling was investigated and he stole quite a bit of money, so the seme had to clean up that mess; he put off rehiring the dad while renovations were going on in the gallery. He recalled the dad had a son so he assumed the kid would work to keep the household going. Meanwhile the Omega couldn't get a job until he lied to pass himself off as a beta and he struggled to get meds hence losing his virginity to the seme. I do give the alpha credit up to that point bc of how he handled the kid's first time then gave him a dildo and lots of meds...Anyway, the dad took some different art back to the gallery to sell and security roughed him up and hurt his dominant arm.

of course people are entitled to their own opinions!! But I saw this as incredibly cute! I know people are saying the wished the friend/prince hooked up and that would have been interesting, but for now... this was just cute. It was a coming of age and learning and love and I thought there could have been better ways of displaying it- but the story is still so cute in its purity/simplicity. uke could go through some more hardship, but for now this is good. I appreciate the characters for themselves and I enjoyed the uncomplicated story.
Also I am personally a big fan of the supportive straight characters ( tend to get annoyed when every guy is a perspective partner and is gay). I love the friend since he was supportive and helped the prince. He doesn't have to be a perspective partner or gay for me to love him, for him to be an amazing friend and I like him the way he is.
