If I had to be analytical I'd say he wasn't a rapist. Like you said it's unlikely right? So many girls confess to him but he turns them down I mean he's smart in that sense but if he was an acc rapist dumb bc he could just lock a room and do that sort of thing. He doesn't like troublesome things so it wouldn't make sense for him to do smth so nasty. He could've ignored the protagonist which personally i conclude his intention was so innocent and almost pure. It's a guess I suppose but it's a prediction if he tells us anything about his trial. He only said he was "an ex rapist" but because he a aid I think doesn't mean no end wasn't quoting anything referral to a sentence.
