It's honestly stupid bc there is no similarity between artstyle AND storyline

I'm very confused. I haven't read Flashlight, but the artstyle looks completely different from Shutline and the storyline seems different too. I see some allegations of tracing but I can't find any proof of that either.

The author is just throwing a tantrum on x, but the sad part is both shutline and flashlight are really good in their own unique way, and people might start boycotting shutline it's honestly sad, but still the author shouldn't be throwing a tantrum

It's not just a tantrum tho it's been happening ever since the author first published their work and since they are not known and doesn't have a fandom to protect them they kept it to themselves and finally couldn't hold it longer so they exposes them

From the comments I read aside from tracing another reason is because of interracial couple which is very funny because it's a very common theme among all vl

Honestly, I hope the backlash is a wakeup call for the author of Shutline. Both stories being set in the US and with a similar banter-y dynamic is not enough to call for plagiarism. I wonder if the Shutline author even read Flashlight or if they're just going off of what their fans have sent to them.

Hopefully, bc I really do enjoy both manhwas and the author of shutline did admit that after seeing peoples complaints they started to 'see' similarities (tho there are none) meaning they believed fans, and not reading the manhwa itself
