I can't say how much I love this Manga. I loved Emma and wanted more. Now I get more. No Emma, but same time period!!!! love it!!!
It's not exactly the same decade. Otoyomegatari seems to be set in the 1860s, as you can see by the way the women in England are dressing, and Henry's friend said that it was after the Crimean War, which raged on between 1853 and 1856. Emma, on the other hand, is set in the turn of the century, the late 1890s to the start of the Edwardian Era (1901-1914).
I said time period, which is the Victorian Era. Emma started at the Victorian and went to the Edwardian Era for few pages at the end of the manga. While Otoyomegatari will end still being in the Victorian Era. It is the same time period.
So lil sis is pissed, cause her bf don't fuck her enough and she thinks everyone is perfect except her? Did I get it right?
I'm so annoyed by the fact that Rain calls Lucas "Mister". Like he don't know his name. TRY CALLING HIM BY HIS NAME!!! Or at least call him Mr Won!
And yeah, the Doc is annoying as fuck.

If I were Souma, I would say "Okay, I can see you don't like the fact, that I want to live with a woman I like BEFORE marriage. This is not the 1950s where the parents decide my partner. I will live with her. And if everything works out, marriage wont be a problem. BYE FUCKERS!!!"

I can understand that you want to tell, that you want to live with someone. But I can't understand why they make a fuzz, cause his parents don't approve. It's just my european way of thinking, lol.
Hmm.. its like saying the parents are not giving them blessings. Because when you move in together, what is next is only marriage. So to be denied that that permission is like almost saying we dont approve of your marriage in the future.

But the story itself was cute and calm and sugar.
Well it's unnecessary because the harsh truth is his mother never loved him and abandoned him since he was little but that's okay because he doesn't need her. He has his own family now.
Why would you be looking for someone who abandoned you tho. Nao chose to move on and Ai and Hiro gave him peace and happiness.
Nao chose to move on?? Didn't look like that for me~ in the last chapter, yes. But before....nope. He wanted answers. The only person who could give him, is his mother. I'm in a simular situation. My mother abonded me too. I asked her why. Never got an answer. But I asked and didn't run away.
If Nao had his peace with his mother, he didn't fight with Ai. But everyone blamed Ai. I can't understand that. Because Nao had the problem etc.
All about this was too fast for me.
