idk if i’ll ever like Cesare. this brother/sister thing is way too weird. if you’re siblings, just leave it at that. like, there’s no critical point where there’s a shift in mindset either. it’s always an assumption of her intentions that makes him treat her inappropriately that feels rapey, especially in ch 20.

i’m not talking just abt his thinking (though you are right) i’m talking about the story execution. i feel like there was a way to make this seem less like attempted SA but the power dynamics and the lack of a critical turning point in their relationship makes this appear very abusive. i agree w you and ik you’re agreeing that the ML is scum, but i felt like i should differentiate between what i was trying to say and what you’re saying is the logic behind his actions.

I liked it. This kind of dynamic is something I’m not used to. I just wish there was more of an explanation on why sucking Rui’s blood (and bodily fluids) turned Momoichi on…I think that’s why I couldn’t give it five stars. I feel like there should be more ngl…

You can see how his big bro Rio, tell how Rui doesn't want to listen and taught by him explain that part why Rui also confused and doesn't know his body fluid can be an aphrodisiac, since he never know fully ab his ability as a vampire.
We can know too he left his home when he's still young, so he learn nothing more than he just a vampire.
Hope this help ;)
ppl been saying this in the comments but like…is it not weird that he doesn’t recognize her off the rip? ik that he found ‘charred remains’, but how does he know that the ashes came from his daughter’s body? a necklace is good for evidence, but is it as substantial as a DNA test? plus, if he knows sooooo much about this one-year-old child he hasn’t seen in like a decade, how could he not feel a little more persuaded that she’s his daughter? the girl looks JUST like him.
no dumbass, all the beginning chapters quite literally hints she's not. biologically, her body is their daughter but her soul isn't. some other rat switched souls with her
be respectful, first of all. and secondly, i know her soul is different. you’re basically agreeing with me by saying that she’s his biological daughter. why are you being so aggressive when you just said what i was saying?
He almost believes her as his real daughter tho. But he keep denying that because of her eye color is different. He said, unless that she went through an experiment, ain't no way his real daughter will grow with different eye color. He probably already investigated Anisha, and she live in the orphanage all this time, so it's impossible for her getting caught in experiment since other kids seems fine. I guess, due to after effect of her traveled back in time, she keep some of her traits that she got after being experimented, like her eye color and the strange scribbles in her hands.
true true. i hadn’t read the most recent chapters at first, but i see he’s warming up to her now. abt the experiment thing, i wonder if since she didn’t show him, there’ll be some sort of “grand reveal” event and he realizes his assumption was right….guess we gotta wait ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Huhhh so mc is the true daughter??? UGHHH I feel bad for the duke family but I HATE THEM I don't like how they treat mc but I understand why they treat mc like this... Ugh I have so much mix feelings about the Duke's family...
yeah that’s the cliché so we’re saying she’s the real daughter. the author was throwing a hint by making the duke say that the only way her eye color could be different is if she went thru some shit. they’ll reveal it at some point, but these types of stories take a little while to unveil the truth. it’s usually a lot of growing used to the substitute daughter and kind of dancing around the idea she might be the real one before someone drops the truth bomb.
the only manhwa i’ve read where the substitute was a legit substitute is Death is the Only Ending For A Villainess…and they treated her like shit, too.
Oh yeah! The part where he said that about her eyes was the moment I began thinking if she IS the real daughter
... We're fcked. ┗( T﹏T )┛
