detailed spoilers!!!! if you don’t want the entire plot explained turn back now. this is based on the novel so there might be some discrepancies
kwonwoo doesn’t remember any of his puppy arc. dowon is (understandably) upset about it but decides to quit being his guide just to find out that they imprinted on each other. he’s very confused bc imprinting only happens if two ppl are rlly meant for each other but bc he’s oblivious as hell he wants to cancel the imprinting and the only way to do that is a) kwonwoo kills him or b) dowon imprints with another compatible esper. he tells kwonwoo he’s going to imprint with another esper to cancel their imprinting and bc kwonwoo is dumb as hell he agrees and refuses to be open with his obvious feelings for dowon. dowon tries to meet up with the other esper and surprise surprise kwonwoo is actively sabotaging it the entire time. there’s tons of drama and angst and arguing but eventually they figure it out. it’s very long and drawn out and unnecessary honestly but that’s what we love about it!
