I think that the author depiction of sooyong changed a lot like at first he was very strong, independent, wouldn't take shit from anyone but as the story progress basically a fuck toy,dependent( I mean I understood it is because taesung saved him he thought he can maybe depend on him). But still the change is very drastic . So it makes u think that he needs someone (both semes ) to rescue him even though we all know he can save himself if he was his former self
I think Taeseung broke his fighting spirit little by little through lies and manipulation, making him think that he can't be independent and that bad things will happen if he leaves his side. It got to a point where he stopped working and was just staying at Taeseung's house doing nothing, just waiting for him.

Bro, I feel that people are not reading the story. Taesung said to Sooyoung that he would pay off his debts and even the medical fees. But Sooyoung refused because he didn’t want to feel like a beggar living off of other people’s mercy. So he started working for Taesung. Taesung allowed this but was very explicit that Sooyoung should never get hurt while working and that, if he does, he had to accept Taesung’s money and live with him. They BOTH agreed to this. However, Sooyoung kept getting hurt in his workplace cause he is always trying to save people (like when he saved Minhyuk for the first time) at the expense of his OWN life. Taesung hates how little Sooyoung thinks of his life to the point where he is willing to put himself between a knife and someone else he doesn’t know to protect them. Taesung hates this because he considers Sooyoung’s life to be more valuable than Sooyoung thinks. I’m not going to defend all of the actions of Taesung cause he’s still radioactively toxic. But man, some people really need to reread the story. Y’all make Sooyoung seem like a kid.
