The author is trying to make a paralel of orange regretting it and ml giving her things because he genuinely loves her or whatever but it falls flat because he could buy her a house if he wanted to. He's just doing it slow to not scare her away. But it doesn't reach me because there was no sacrifice.
And ideally you should never sacrifice, but when its to prop up the male lead it feels cheap when it's at the expense of the poor 2ml yk?
