I like BL as much as the next person but this isn’t shounen ai, yaoi or BL.
It’s tagged on here as Shounen Ai, but it’s not. Sure Ash & Eiji cared for each other but it’s not in a BL sense. Also a major misconception with the manga/anime is that “editorial meddling” occurred & that’s why they killed Ash. But the creator has stated she planned to kill him from the beginning & had she changed her mind they still would have gone separate ways.
