He was obviously going to have a sob story and a reason as to why he grew up to be the way he does, it doesn’t excuse his actions but it gives a reason to them, yes he continued the cycle and very obviously hasn’t broken free from the cycle of abuse, this story very obviously isn’t about fluffy love or cute stories of how the main characters get together, it’s how people deal with their traumas and what it can turn into, the only difference is how people start to recognize their reactions and grow from it. comparing him and Dan to eachother is a mistake I’m seeing a lot of people make and Dan is a grown ass man who can make decisions on his own (he obviously has) the whole point of the story is to show how jaekyung was “jinxed” and how he cures himself of it, he was cursed to be his fathers son and inherit everything rotten from his father even if it never presented in the same way, I’m sure with how the story is progressing he’s going to grow as a person and are people entitled to forgive him? No. But is it fair to disregard someone’s trauma and past experiences because of their present actions? Absolutely not. It’s an unfair bias humanity has towards people, can you outgrow someone, yes absolutely but it’s never right to disregard what other people have been through especially when it comes to things that happen so often in real life
first time I’ve ever wished I could block a story from being able to view it fuck ass 2 male leads plot
Idk if it’s just me but I’m not really enjoying the story, mostly cause their feelings change so quickly and the fl’s personality goes from one side to the other, at first it was refreshing but now it just feels like the author didn’t know how to write her. Especially with the ml. It was obvious at the beginning that she atleast showed interest in him and wanted to marry him but when he starts showing the same interest she wants to end the engagement? She’s very obviously depending on the book way too much and having it change the way she feels about people, the characters and the plot itself all just feel way too fickle.
It’s tagged with romance and there is a romantic aspect but I don’t think it’s right to tag this as a romance story, it’s a really good story and confronted a lot of societal norms, I started reading hoping for a romance but I’m also really happy with what it ended up becoming though I am sad that they never officially got together
ughhh why won’t that man just communicate, he’s getting me so irritated with the misunderstandings. Evelyn has no clue about anything and no one will tell her anything either it’s getting me so annoyedddd
what the fuck did I just spend the last hour of my time reading
I don’t know exactly why yet but this story is starting to get me irritated and bored :/ , it’s not like there’s no plot but there’s just something about it that’s got me grinding my teeth
why the fuck are people so surprised at the incest as if one it’s not a tag, and two very fucking common back then ? yes our moralities have grown since then and it’s now shunned upon but back then do you know how fucking common that shit was, hell I bet most of you mfs got some form of yo family in you from your ancestors. And no I don’t condone it but if you’re gonna whine about it then simply don’t read this one ?
I love the story but I get so sad at the bad translations, it has so much potential
I wanna let this marinate so badly but everytime I see there’s an update I can’t resist
this is probably just me but I don’t really like how much the story gets side tracked by the duke and duchess , I wanted to read it for Clarize but almost everytime their little love story interrupts it and I just don’t like it anymore, the author should’ve given them their own story or smthn
Guys I’m scared, is heejae just waiting for the best moment to get his revenge. The thought kept crossing my mind the entire time of how he was doing it all for revenge even while knowing his own feelings
dude I blinked for a second and suddenly they were going all out
Your head, use it. like girl if you even take a look at the facts you’d see that Adler was always going to be her finance and the prime suspect of her murder. A convenient way to get rid a nuisance (her first life) and an influential figure at the same time (the duke by placing blame on him) with the facts she’s been gathering it should be more than enough to show that Adler isn’t the culprit yet she always jumps back to that “oh no he’s the main suspect” which is starting to get annoying
