Honestly same, there are a ton of great stories with great plots and storylines that get overlooked and unappreciated, and straight up pornographic stories like jinx get all the hype and attention….it’s so unfair

and well, yes, she is still the author of prolly one of the most popular bl manwhas out there. Is not much about the quality of the story itself, but more of 1. People is HORNY, 2. Toxic yaoi is much more liked than one could imagine, 3. Is the author and hopes of redemption arc.

The artstyle is beautiful and i like the plot too i’m a patient person. I know the character development will happen. Not now but soon and i can wait for it.(also like slowburn & Cinderella plot)
And lowkey the seme is legit my type those thick eyebrows is just perfection. And his body (i’m a sucker for buff dudes)
That’s just what makes jinx interesting to me cause again it’s my cup of tea not everyone will like it and that’s ok not everyone has the same taste as me. It’s also your choice if you want to read it or not. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I read it bc i read alot of toxic things. I like darker stories, but that's not all I read. Porn is interesting to me and so is fluff. I can't pinpoint exactly what I like about it, but i can say that it's a Rollercoaster, the fact that there is so much going on is what gives it its appeal maybe? I love wholesome lil stories aswell, but i like them for a complety different reason. It's not everyone's cup of tea and thats fine

that makes a lot of sense actually!! people like what they like for their own reasons so i understand completely actually. toxic stories make me feel away i don't like so that makes sense like i mean i read a decent amount of toxic stories when i first found bl but now all i can read is fluff

Haven’t really read it, but from all I’ve read about it I got the feel for it and my theory for most stories like this that get super popular over better plotted ones come down to simplicity I think. These stories aren’t deep. They’re just eye candy so it’s easy for people to jump into them. Another thing being that it’s a fantasy and a lot of people fantasize about things like that happening to them even if in real life they know it’s not right. It’s simply a fantasy and they can live it out through their reading.
That’s my 2 cents not only about this story, but others similar in toxicity and popularity.

Ahh i love fluff, i alsl read alot Father daughter, isekai and player stuff. I believe my taste is quite balanced. I have this thing where people reccomend me the worst stories they've ever come across and i read it and rate it. I'm quite commited to the toxic/psychological/dark themes just bc i enjoy seeing how much it takes to make me uncomfy... And it's like u said, when we started out toxic bls were all the rage then so alot of people start with them. Honestly if I had to give a recc to someone new it would be Salad days Instead of something like bj Alex just bc its so perfect

Honestly it's the art. The way the artist creates the images is chef's kiss The colours, the proportions and literally everything is absolutely beautiful. They're basically art for me I've never invest myself in the plot because the plot is st*pid but yes you get it

But I like to think about it in a way tha makes it easier to handle " if you dont know what you don't like, how will you be able to choose what you do like?" helps a ton with starting with things I don't normally would reach for
