This story is becoming a pure mess. They really just used the cliche trope of ‘getting injured after a fight miraculously solves all problems’. I actually laughed when Joel started calling Jesse cause I was like, ‘imagine if Jesse got admitted to the same hospital and Joel realizes this because he hears Jesse’s phone ring’ and then it happened and I couldn’t be more disappointed with how the plot turned out.

Joel was again proving he’s a shitty character with that inner monologue of his, blaming Jesse for making him lose his ‘loves’ (one being Chase and cmon he’s half your age you’re really gonna blame your son for that?) and thinking of his kid as his enemy. I do agree that it’s sad Joel was forced into a situation he wasn’t ready for, and that he was angry atm and that’s why his inner thoughts were so twisted but... I’m just so tired of his character.

All I wanna see at this point is Jesse and Andy moments.

Exactly! What is this “he isn’t my son he’s my enemy bullshit” like wtf

but... that’s the wrong way of thinking of it. Parents are supposed to provide their kids with basic necessities in life: it’s their duties as parents. Parents that are abusive and neglectful aren’t doing their duty properly, and should be punished accordingly for so. If you have a child, it’s your duty to take care of them, cause guess what you brought them into this world. Ppl are shitting on Joel bc yes, he does do his basic job as a parent, but that’s it. He doesn’t truly give care or love to Jesse, can barely have a normal conversation with him, and seems to blame him for wtv wrongs happened in his life. Yes parenting isn’t easy; but if you’re a parent, you had the kid, so it’s your job to take care of them and give them the love they need.

Yea I prob didn’t bc nothing in that paragraph made sense to me (grammar and sentence structure was completely messed up) so based on what I COULD read, I made a comment. I thought the person was saying that compared to other abusive parents, Joel is a lot better, and he’s doing his best in the shitty situation he was given, as kids aren’t easy to handle and teens even harder.
That’s fair. But I have a problem with ppl saying this bc Joel still is responsible for Jessi. Him giving Jessi the basic necessities and everything was his duty as a parent, but he is still being neglectful by not giving Jessi the care and attention he needs. Don’t compare it to other situations and say ‘oh Joel is doing better’ cause yea he’s doing better, but that shouldn’t just wipe away all the shit he’s done to Jessi. He still did him wrong; comparing it to something worse just undermines the entire situation.

I get it, Joel went through a lot by having to raise a kid he didn’t even know existed till his ex wife showed up then died, had to take care of said kid (who was practically a teen at this point), and raise him alone while working long hours to pay for rent and all that shit. That’s tough work.
But if y’all gonna compare Joel and say ‘he’s better than abusive parents’ imma say that look at all the hard working young divorced moms that have to raise their children themselves but STILL manage to do it while giving them the love and attention they deserve, UNLIKE Joel. :/

Holy. This manga is triggering. Don’t get me wrong, the art is great, but the plot is messed up. Seme can do whatever he wants to the uke, and uke ‘can’t say no’. What the hell? Where’s the safe word? What if it becomes too much for the puppy, or the puppy is uncomfortable/scared? Like the seme might’ve said in the contract that he’ll care for the health of the puppy, but then what about the mental health?

Seme is toxic af, and uke is super gullible for giving his first time to a complete stranger in a disgusting alleyway. Not only that, seme has some incriminating evidence if he ever wants to expose the world about puppy. Like he could use all that as blackmail.

Okay but I love this manga. The character redemption we see Sanada go through is great. He regrets what he did but doesn’t try to make excuses for it. He owns up to it, and it takes a lot of courage to stand up against others to protect the ones you love. I freakin love this manga, and the fact that it’s not just yaoi we’re getting, but a nice decent plot would good character development.

Also love that the more intimate scenes always are done really well, with new things being tried out every time. Like taking pics of Itonaga in bed, the kissing with the ice cream, and the good ol’ tying a person up.

This was a pretty good story until this drama started. Like it’s just Niel misunderstanding and jumping to conclusions about Jenson without taking the time to actually communicate with him.
Not only that, he keeps getting pep talks from his friend and even his own ex, yet continues to ignore Jenson and make his own assumptions.

He knew he was in the wrong, and yet still blamed it on Jenson in the beginning of the conversation. Holy, he’s gotten so annoying.

He’s victimizing himself, and Jenson honestly has the soul of a saint to be able to be so patient in explaining everything to Niel.

Niel: ‘oh I won’t let the same things in high school repeat over again’ and ‘I’ll properly talk to Jenson and listen to him’

Also Niel: lemme jump to conclusions again

I really thought for a good sec that Oliver was in the car and Felix was giving Oliver what he wanted to protect his family.
Had to reread to realize it was Giovanni and I’m just stupid.

Was lowkey screaming at the fact that Felix was with Oliver, and that didn’t even happen, so istg the author better finish up the plots with Oliver cause this drama is enough.

Yknow what? In the beginning I thought it was weird that Chase liked Joel, but then I saw it more as comedic relief and decided to ignore it. However, with all that’s happening in this story rn, it just doesn’t make any sense.

Joel and Chase should not end up together.

The story started through Andy’s POV, where he sees the ‘big and bad’ Jesse and his teacher in the midst of breaking up their relationship. We learn that this teacher has been preying on the students and trying to get sexual acts from them.
We even managed to see the teacher get in a lot of trouble due to his actions.
And now we’re supposed to just ignore all of that and support a relationship between Joel (an ADULT) and Chase (a MINOR)?

What ‘age is just a number’? What ‘he’s far younger than me’ ‘oh that’s great!’ ?! This is so fcked up. Chase is a minor, period. Joel is a fucking police cop that’s really thinking of dating a minor?

Not only that, but Joel is a disgusting person. He’s hypocritical on so many levels. Jesse is right: he doesn’t even care about his own son but tries to be a ‘good dad’ to Chase? Like cmon, he was totally using Chase to feel better about himself since he’s a failure of a father to Jesse.
Chase was just a replacement for Jesse.
And now Joel loves Chase? YIKES.

Chase is a victim here. He didn’t even know that Joel was Jesse’s dad, or that Joel was using him until now.

Honestly fuck Joel, he sucks.

I do agree with most of what you said but that teacher was grooming his students whereas Joel was being chased by Chase and had no awareness of it also I don't think chase is the only victim here he apparently said he chased after the perverted teacher and tried to seduce Joel multiple times

    I AGREE. 10,000%

I honestly think that Chase was never a victim. He was never naive and innocent. He was manipulating. He used things and situations in his favor. He blackmailed Jesse being Joel's watchdog. And he pretended to be Joel's watchdog but in reality was wanting to seduce Joel. It is sad but this is just a result of his actions. He was not deceived nor manipulated. Jesse openly objected to him dating Joel but Chase shamelessly chases after Joel. Chase is a Chaser. The author gave him a very fitting name.

How could anyone hate the brothers? They lost their sister, and then their parents straight up replaced their sis with a look-a-like. Not only that, but the parents show favouritism and bias to the adopted child, always taking her side instead of the actual children.

The brothers don’t seem to get much love from their parents, so it’s normal for them to feel jealousy or even hatred towards the adopted child. Why should they like someone that stole their parents’ love from them, and is replacing their dead sister.
That doesn’t make their actions right, but it explains why they bully her.

Also, the fact that the dad hit the oldest (Eugene) for no good reason (he just ate her candy damn) makes the parents seem more shady than they already are. Possibly Eugene was preventing her from eating the candy bc it was related to the death of their sister (Eugene is pretty mature, so there’s likely another reason behind the candy thing).

The parents are so disappointing.

    kukie kun February 3, 2020 12:29 pm

Yeah right, I saw in the spoiler comment that the candy was actually a drug damn ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
