I know everyone is supposed to hate the mom but I don’t like the main characters either so I’m for anyone against them too tbh
The main character IS incredibly frustrating and I mildly hate him too- but y'also gotta acknowledge that his mother is the reason for that in the first place-
true but he is an adult now its not impossible to grow out of it
Yeah, he's an adult. But, he has a lifetime of trauma and his mothers controlling nature prevented him from being able to actually grow up because there was always someone else's plans controlling what he did. He had never spent a lot of time away from his mothers controlling nature until he moved in with the other guy, which is when he starts trying to think for himself, but that's difficult to learn when you've never had the freedom of feeling your own feelings and expressing yourself in the first place.
Sorry for the rant- I just relate to how controlling his mother is a biiiiittt too much and it makes me wanna rant about his character

hes always been able to think for himself hes a human he may not have been allowed to act on it under the control of his mother but it is way past time to make his own decisions and not allow himself to be walked all over he only has so much life left to live
Not a big fan of the caretaker turned lover trope but I would like to see the gender bents again
The “you’re home” “I’m home” moment is so sweet and cute. A lot of BL only focus on sex which ofc it's a given since sex is just part of the genre but it’s nice to see ones that have little cute subtle romance/sweet moments like that
Okay I’m ngl, I’ve read other toxic stuff before but this just feels depressing reading from Dan’s POV. His granny, the gangsters, having to deal with this idiot, I just want him to firmly stand up for himself and stop being passive because I’m sorry, it’s really hard to read a character that just seems to be a punching bag
I wish this could be a full story. I know it’s super dark but I tend to prefer more dark/psychological yuri than the cookie cutter wholesome gl. I think it would be really interesting to see how the dynamics change as the characters evolve, especially if the mother became an actual player, maybe even falling for the black haired mc (just spit balling ideas lol)
