In women, it develops around 25 (sometimes earlier twenties). In men, it often takes longer, so a lot of men develop their prefrontal cortex at 30. I guess you don’t do any research where you’re from because men and women do develop at different speeds. (￣▽￣)

It is sad, but this is just a typical asian upbringing. High expectations and children hiding their true selves or interests behind closed doors.
Sadly this type of high expectation is quite common from what Ive seen growing up.
Nope not just asian but parents in general upbringing. Some kids are just trying to be a better parents than their parents to cure their broken soul from doing the things they had been craving for from their own parents to their own kids. Sp some didn't witnessed this.
