I usually get bored with the misunderstanding trope but this story is doing it right. I think most misunderstanding plots depend on the characters being complete idiots with no common sense and childlike mindsets. I find those characters unrelatable and unrealistic. But these two are clearly intelligent, successful, albeit sexually-naive adults whose lies just keep digging them deeper into confusion, and it's much more exciting.











This is one of those stories that's so good, it's going to ruin the next 20 things I read because really, how could they compete with this?
