I had a friend in high school who has a huge scar on her shoulder.
You can tell that she's from poor family: didn't have a phone, didn't have a laptop, walking to school, bring her own lunch (we buy lunch at cafetaria), she get the books from library, never see her parents at parents conference.
You can tell she's forcing her smile and look down a lot when we're talking about family, vacation, etc.
She told us about the scar when we're on second grade: that's the scar from her mom stabbed her in 9th grade. She couldn't afford full medication so the scar stays.
It took a year of us getting close.

To me... This is some sloppy messy relationships that's true to life. I'm sorry y'all but people are like this. Like more than half the people you know. We are usually on the outside looking in and people put on a play of what they want you to see. If you look closer and pay to you will see carp like this. I loved this story cause it's the common struggle about internalized thoughts and emotions that seem to overwhelm everyday people. Giving into mistakes, supporting one toxic person with our toxic love, or breaking away completely to reset and try again. I need more of this. We all need more of this. Yes this is entertainment, but romanticism of BS is just that... a fantasy. But this is some everyday shit.

Yeah poor communication but people do this all the time. When you've never learned how to properly express your feelings or your too shy or just never spoke up about it... You make what appears to be stupid mistakes. But really It's ignorance cause you never knew how to identify your own or others emotions.
