I think people tended to enjoy the novel more since it’s a lot more detailed and they also leave out some funny parts that happen in the novel. Those scenes also help build some relations more and characters too. Personally, I like both; novel because of the amount of detail and manhwa because of the images.

Personally it's because the novel has a better balance between seriousness and comedy. His role as the dru ggie disappointed me in the comic... it captured none of the characters's charm. Even his clothes in the comic are fugly af... and the tattoos on his arms looks like squiggles... I can try to excuse it as they not wanting a substance abuser to look good or that being cuz of their dislike for jp and wanting someone connected to yakuza to look bad... but... honestly... it made me real worried about how they'll depict his next roles... both are heavy roles... one a thriller/horror and the other thriller/drama...
While the art is a good match for the comedy side of it... it's not translating well the serious part... I'm even worried mc won't look as effing handsome as he should whe he gets dressed up and styled for events and awards... ┗( T﹏T )┛
Lastly... the novel shows more the publics reaction to him with netizens comments and all and that is nice too... so yeah... go read the novel...
