In the novel, once Lucas got back from the world tree, he used the branch and hit our sweet Claude with it. Then Claude got his memories soon after that. I stopped reading the chapters after that and wanted to wait for the manhwa to catch up where I was reading, but then I realized the novel is found to be different from the manhwa.
