I really didn't like the older brother Jun combo. It felt incredibly forced instead the littler brother and his friend was what I wanted to read about. It felt like their story got cut short for a sort of wishy washy romance. Plus the author turned the hardcore tough brother so feminine by the end. At first he looked so muscular and by the last chapters his waist and shoulders became so slim. I just wasn't feeling that romance at all...
Here's my 2 cents on this piece.
I don't think the author did a good job developing her story or rounding out her characters. At the end its the writers that build a world where that characters haunt me that I really love the stories and come back to them continually i.e. The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese & its sequel or Viewfinder or Sex Pistols or even in the webtoon universe Boned etc. She made these characters so flat when the story & setting had a lot of potential which is a waste.
Gyogin was raped & badly taken advantage of by that classmate asshole. Yet the author claims he has a trauma but he's still having sex with alphas? He was basically forced into a 3 way from the looks of things & at the end he almost lost his job yet the rapist continues to work punishment free.
Also the author never resolved the past issues between Gyogin & Hyeono they just breeze into a relationship. They don't talk about what happened at that school or why Hyeono ultimately had to transfer & the effects it had on him. We don't have any idea of the total person Hyeono is either than someone who is rooting for (?) Gyogin but clearly he has further depths since he initially bullied Gyogin for their past but its never explained.
In short this a failure of the author due to her laziness (?) or not having a beta reader tell her like it is or something. In short she created a "flat world" instead of a 3 dimensional landscape. At the end I'm left feeling unsatisfied & annoyed. The longer I dwell in the Yaoi genre the more these tropes & failures annoy me. I'm tired of reading PWP or PWPDP (porn with poorly developed plots).
is...is that serious....
I understand your criticism, the story, the characters and the world building could have been a lot more developed, and that this story had a lot of unpolished potential... But I feel like it's not fair to expect so much more from just 11 chapters and sometimes the length of a story is not decided by the author but by the publisher so it's pretty common for unpopular stories to get axed. All in all I think the author did a pretty good job considering the length of the webtoon.
I kinda get what you mean and I agree some of this. But for me the story is okay but yeah theres a lot of wasted potential to this story.
