Chase's eyes at that age were blue, they actually should have been blue in those flashbacks when he was a child.
Purple eyes means that they manifisted as dominant alphas. Chase siblings, three of them had purple eyes at Pete's age.
If Pete's eyes would be purple, he would have problem with emotions like Chase's siblings + other things.
