I guess this is what they mean by young love vs true love. What Hyeonwoo and Subin had was more like clinging to one another for the memories and time spent together but one of them (Hyeonwoo) realized the value of it a little too late until he was no longer able to hold onto it. Subin and Jun's story is a grown up one, you can tell if you understand both of their characters that they're trying to be perfect for one another despite having unsuccessful or unexperienced relationships in the past. I feel bad for Hyeonwoo but at the same time and ngl, wished he would've been the end game cause first love stories are the true angst buttt Subin was also hurt at the same wavelength that he choose to be better with someone whom he could see himself for a long time. Subin made a mature decision to wait for Jun and I hope Hyeonwoo would realize that the world is a bigger place.
