Unpopular opinion but I didn't like this story that much. There's too much unnecessary and overexaggerated drama between the two. It's also reallyyyy confusing, I think it's because of the bad transitions.
Nooo personally this story has my heart. I get it was confusing and overdramatic but the raw emotions are there and I'm a sucker for misunderstanding/angst stories. Oh and the art is impeccable
I, myself actually thinks that it has a lot of potential but was narrated badly. The transitions are horrible imo. Like one second, they're okay. And the next second, something angsty is going on. The drama wasn't built up good because of the sudden transitions. The angst is also nah for me. Like, a lot of drama in this manga too shallow and unnecessary. But that's just me.
Yeah, author has a huge issue with story flow with this and the other translated work - the other is so confusing all emotion of the story was lost on me. For this one you could still piece together/follow and you had to accept/assume a lot of inferences. If you assume/accept the seme is deeply in love but too scared to confess due to the unfair structure of their society it makes the misunderstanding and dramatics more understandable. There was still a connected plot that was never fleshed out which is tragic. If she could have made the story flow, better transitions it would be beautiful. Also would be helpful if the extra was translated that has more epilogue story with them happy together and flashback from the semes perspective. I think what should have been added was a whole chapter or two of flashbacks for everything from the seme's perspective - ESPECIALLY the cuts where he was hurting the uke or getting hurt and we didn't see his face (I was actually expecting that when I first read this and disappointed it never happened) and of course way better flow and story plots incorporated and it would have been a masterpiece
