it gives historical vibe x world buillding, like Under the Oak Tree, and there is magic too !! _ it's not really '' fantasy '' but still with magic if that makes sense ?? It gives me same vibe, while the MC has a different personnality.

I think the person can choose their gender at a certain age. There is also a scene where that person decided to dress up as a girl but it didn't go anywhere (based on my memory)
