It's the chapters if you wanna unlock them but just based off the chapter titles and the pictures he finds her in like 4 chapters she comes back and it seems like she's going through trials to prove her ability while they keep going back and forth in mending their relationship. It does seem like he confesses in there so there's that but he needs to get over his issues.
