I think alicabes died in the sea whereas socrates lived on till his olden days. After they died they meet again...maybe? I too am a bit confused about their story

Yea it said something about Socrates being imprisoned because of them and I also didn't get the part where he said he took a chicken from the god of medicine and wanted it returned
I think maybe, they stayed together but maybe something happened to Alicabies(?) and he died early on. So i guess, the black haired dude(Socrates' ex lover, the one who was jealous and has the hots for both Alicabies and Socrates. Lol) i think he made up some lie to make Socrates look bad or made him responsible for Alicabies' death that's why Socrates was imprissoned. It looked liked it did not bother him(Socrates) one bit(being in the prison or dying) maybe because he to believed that the two of them will be reunited in the afterlife.
If so, I wished they would really explain that part （￣へ￣）I'm a sucker for some tragic angst.
I hated them too but when I came to my senses I realised that females in that time had to suffer a lot sleeping with old man's to survive they sold and buy them they survive till the age of old is quite difficult after so many trauma they go through mental illness was developed in them , it's very hardship journey for them
