Ik y’all saying Khaol was manipulated but he knew exactly what he was doing when he betrayed River for his lover. He could’ve stopped lari esp when the river god himself didn’t even want his energy, but he just sat there and watched it happen. He knew well that he was giving up river for kaveri. Tbh I’m fine with whatever he does now as long as he doesn’t get in the way of heil and river but he’s a mc so that Ik that’s not gonna happen :(
