that's cool as like no joke I have an auntie whos like 35 and she still watches anime I think she reads mangatoo idk but i remember always seeing her watch anime on that small tv with idk i think VCRs those big ass vcr cases, and also the library has no gl/bl or gender-bender stuff (︶︿︶) but its soo cool how've u seen manga evolve

Idk maybe cos they just want fan service?.. Then there’s also considering genres that pretty much explicitly have sex like- yaoi or yuri

it's basically just adding "spice" to a plot to catch readers' attention without straight up having explicit scenes. also i think if it's just ecchi it wont be rated 18+ so it has a larger audience. many shounen have ecchi or fanservice but the target audience is young men, many of them minors, so they want to appeal to them without limiting the audience
