It's my own opinion and I will say it again I don't care what anyone thinks, he's had it rough and taken their shit, and with Seraphina she doesn't deserve it but its John's trauma acting out and he has no right to take it out on her that is the part I disagree with but he tried to stay low-key but everyone picked it out off him, Arlo's hot yeah but did he need to betray John like that, no. I rest my case

Opposite of what you think lol. I do not think he deserves to be the king
If he fucks up the whole system and does more damage then he is more of a villain in my eye
He is trying to control everyone with brute force and he keeps on repeating the same mistake he did before. Hurting his closed ones and using brute force to get what he wants.

True true, but have you ever thought that because he was weak and had no idea of what his power was and people took him for a cripple and used it as an excuse to bully him and just because there's healers "he'll be fine", they pushed him into that spot and he's grown up thinking that brute force is the only way to stay safe and be intimidating so he's not getting beaten up for being a cripple, arlo used brute force to set the hierarchy straight again but no one is hating on him.

John knew the system is the same and what happened to him would obviously happen again. Then why tf He pretended to be a cripple?

Yes I know that but John became a cripple because he was too strong and didn't want a repeat of what happened last time in Boston, John was fine with being hurt as long as he had Seraphina but arlo pushed him back into the hierarchy and pretended to be his friend so of course that's gonna fuck with him and make him lose his shit because what happened with Clair he could see Arlo and Seraphina doing it because of the past, the way john would hit everyone whilst they were down I will not agree with since he had already proven his point and that he was stronger but you forget that everyone did that to him when he was sticking up for him and his friend so why can't he be the same back, put yourself in his shoes

If he is the protagonist then he shoudnt have also i am more interested in character development.
John chose to be an ignorant fuck instead of understanding his mistakes and becoming wise . He couldve handled everything perfectly if his character was written well. No shade no tea but he seems like an ignorant brat with anger issues and i aint lovin it. Periodt~

If he acts like arlo and others who did him wrong then whats makes him any different? We hated arlo for treating him like shit and now i hate john equally bcoz he treats others like shit. I'd love to see his character development and him be a person who changes the world but I have been through stages of being bullied and having to fight back (not bringing personal problems into it like other people btw ) but I would have gone around it the same way he did and I honestly love seeing things like this where they stick up for themselves but I agree that it's been going on for a long time and I want the old john back

I guess we all have different opinions I like him and I don't know how you don't but like I said I do agree with character development. How is he a liar tho, he lied about his power to try and help everyone around him? I don't see that as bad. He does have anger issue but wouldn't you with all the shit they said about his dads book and his dad he's was just trying to protect what he loves and instead he gets tormented by people who didn't hear the full story like that cop guy.

Y'all need to stop arguing, both sides can have their own opinions and in doing so don't deserve to get shit-talked just for having a different view on the matter. I personally see both sides.
John has been bullied and his past haunts him, and for that reason, seeming though no one tried to change and beat him just for being a "cripple", or didn't try to stop him being beaten, it's their own fault that John's this way. On another side, I don't think what John's doing is okay as, even if some of them were bystanders, they don't really deserve to get beaten. But to be fair he can't help that. I've been in similar situations and as a result have been diagnosed with 4 different disorders, and if I had the ability to hurt the person that hurts me, then to be honest, I'd also probably take it to teach them not to harm others again, albeit I'd probably end up feeling guilty if I did so. But anyway, just leave each other be if your gonna start arguments for petty reasons.
