fl is so cunning and sharp, I love stories where the female lead is the one leading the charge against political affairs, especially when it's done behind the scenes and a false facade.

from spoilers I've read this is going to be an absolute nightmare of a read, I hope there's a regret arc or smth to make up for what's to come

was iffy to read this cuz it follows that odd trope of white women and dark skin 'exotic' male and the added horror of slavery,
but i was surprised that the story is actually really interesting also it's rare to see a wheelchair user in this setting, im praying it doesn't romanticize the slavery thing

I thought the dad having no remorse or feelings towards his daughter was odd but to write it off as "he just saw her eyes and assumed she didn't want a dad" makes him seem insanely stupid as a character,

with the way things are going I'm assuming he's going to be doing a 180 and act like a 'dad' now but I can't think of a way for the author to write this where it doesn't come off as pathetic of him

all the characters are so one dimensional and cliche that it's kinda hard to read without cringing,,

I do dislike the male lead but my love for strong knight female leads is stronger and enough to keep me hooked, also the king is the best

grown ass man beefing with a traumatized abused kid who can barely talk, what is his problem

normally these trashy fathers annoy me but I can sometimes sympathize with them, but this guy truly takes the cake when it comes to being a shitty human being

I sadly can't find any novel spoilers so I can only hope his story ends in misery

self loathing male leads like this who push away the girl who loves them are always the worst sighh

I haven't read any novel spoilers but I'm suspicious about the medication fl has been taking in her childhood, that one flashback was just screaming "this is important for later."
