I've seen this a million times. people will go for the most inappropriate matches if they see the seme as being bad. no perspective. anyone will do as long as it isn't the main character, the seme. it's stupid. I could run out another dweeb character and they'd glom onto that one as well.
It doesn't even matter that both of those characters are completely out of bounds. Ever had your best friend go after your boyfriend or girlfriend? It's what bad people do, and it's damn ugly. It makes for a shitty story to read, too.
