This chapter gave amazing insight on the current status of their emotions, I feel.
The subtle nuances in these formative stages of their relationship seem to be gradually shifting in a wonderfully interesting direction.
Their initial dynamic was quite loose - still taking shaping, two strangers meeting and getting acquainted in the strangest of circumstances. At that point, conversations flowed freely due to no existence of an emotional attachment yet, further aided by the ridiculous bizarreness of it all.
Unexpectedly, a brilliant physical chemistry develops from the increasingly intimate pleasures they share, and both seem to be subconsciously aware of this inert compatibility, of this unspoken mutual attraction linking their interest to each other.
Somewhere along the way, what was first deemed a "need", becomes a lascivious "want". Seeking the other out in subliminal touches - the most casual gestures, really - the likes of Jung grabbing a hold of Wonwoo's sleeve, leaving the latter ever so slightly flushed from the instinctual touch, indicating Jung's trust in him, making him feel he is being relied on(and someone with an ego as massive as his would love that lol).
Subsequently, Wonwoo shakes off the unknown emotion that wells in his chest, and instead reciprocates to sate some of Jung's fear, dense in the way he familiarly drapes an arm around Jung's shoulder in an attempt to comfort, this time leaving the latter ultra conscious of all physical contact. It simultaneously pulls down Jung's mood despite the way his heart hiccups, because Jung is beginning to realise that these are all but acts drenched in "impermanency", a fleeting, intoxicating, lovely fever dream that will end, that means nothing. The worst of the realization that he is slowly approaching, is that he /wants/ it to means something, and its terrifying to learn and admit he is falling and falling and falling, and may be left heart broken at the end of this tale.
At this stage, there is an absolutely delicious tension between them, where the lines between "a detached contract of mutual benefit" and requited, genuine concern(and something more...) are beginning to blur, leaving them gasping for a wall, a boundary to anchor these feelings to.
I love that Wonwoo isn't stupid; he sensed the possibility of Jung developing something more than pure lust for him; it was a surprisingly mature and realistic conversation he held with Jung. Jung scoots away, a physical body language indicating he feels like he's been seen through - all those vulnerable spots within his being that are starting to ache for a weird man who claims to be an unparalleled godly existence of sorts.
IMO, this is the stage where the feelings are beginning to take a serious romantic turn, and there is an adorable awkwardness and hesitance to their skinship, because each glance, each touch, each promise and each word, now hold more significance and meaning than they ever did. It's going to be so much fun seeing how they navigate these unchartered waters, how these inhibitions gradually melt to give way to affections which can no longer be denied or with-held, culminating into a commitment of eternal union :3
I like this couple too much lol ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄

Eclise knows FL is using him for some reason but falls for her anyway. Honestly, I believe FL is to blame also since she basically manipulated him and then threw him away. But he's actually the one who brings OG back into the duke house this timeline. He somehow believes that if FL gets kicked out of the ducal house, he'll be the only one she can rely on and won't be able to leave him (he can sense she doesn't love him). This betrayal leads FL to cut him off and desperate, he continues to collude with OG afterwards trying to kidnap FL (succeeded the 2nd time). A lot happens in-between but eventually, Eclise saves her from a dragon attack and his body is missing and presumed dead. Now the novel ends there but fret not, in the several side stories we get, Eclise is still alive but an amnesiac. He finds Penelope again and stalks her for a while with a strong urge to kill her. He eventually chooses not to and leaves to become a mercenary. His story ends there... as someone who was rooting for him the most in the beginning, it's pretty disappointing ik but you'll see why gold lion boy is the best for FL
I am shaken up by how /tenderly/ Ahjussi was caressing Euijoon while they were romping ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄ The way his large, calloused palm gently brushed through Euijoon's hair, pillowing his head, nuzzling his thumb against his cheek, carefully cupping the side of his neck, kissing right above his eye - the way he cherishes Euijoon, letting his feelings express in subtle gestures - it's really beautiful. This author is truly brilliant at convincingly portraying quiet attraction.
Also that moment where euijoon came cause he felt so good and Ahjussi's horny switch flipped to a higher point, blush evident on his cheeks - that moment was so hotლ(´ڡ`ლ) lolol mans a goner
Can't wait till they get together - they'd make one of the cutest couples ever!
Right like sheeeeeeesh the affections gonna make me act up
