I'm only on chp 10, but it's hard to tell if this takes place in America or Korea. No offense to the author because I love the plot so far, but I doubt the author has been to America besides a week-long vacation when she/he/they were a child. I know it's a stretch to expect accuracy in a webcomic, but college is not like this here. This may make more sense in 1990 America, but not 2020.
I'm more so talking about the people and their attitude towards things more so than the campus itself. Accurate for middle school or high school maybe, but in college, we don't give a flip about the opinion of others. I legit saw a student waltz into the computer lab in a Teletubby onesie like it was 4 am at a Walmart and everyone just went about their day.
Your mileage might vary a bit. My college experience was similar, this reminds me a lot of how the international students at my school had their own college culture, especially within the cultural clubs. They'd put on events like these that we're loosely endorsed by the school. That aspects reminds me a lot of college in the US. That said, there could stand to be more 'murrica nods and jokes in this series.
I understand that. Maybe I'm just too much of a recluse to notice. I just hope they don't have widespread homophobia on campus. It's morally wrong and the quickest way to get canceled on the internet in western culture for being an asshole. I low key high key hope they get encouragement from an old married queer couple or an lgbt+ rights club. Setting a bl in the USA is a great opportunity to have them go to a pride parade or even actually get married in a place where gay couples are recognized by law. I dream of a manga where a gay couple can kiss in public and not be blackmailed for it.
Please tell lover boy the whole story now including who started the fire and what happened leading up to it. Give the man some credit and have a little more faith in him. He helped you before when things like this happened. It saves everyone so much trouble when lead characters actually talk to each other.
The plot seems to be about a brother taking his sister's place as a bride in order to discover and gather proof on who poisoned her believing the groom to be the most likely suspect, but the translation is incomplete. It could be an error in the scan or translation that caused this. Around 50% of the dialogue boxes have [missing text] so it's difficult to fully enjoy and understand the plot.
He's the embodiment of why so many people hate and shun yaoi. He constantly rapes the uke while demanding the uke confesses to him. I was hoping for some sort of character growth and remorse but his pride and cowardness far outweigh any affection he claims to have, if he ever claims to have any!!! (dropped this around page 100 because it just kept getting worse)
Can we get a round of applause for the seme's female work friend? We need to put a spotlight on how amazing, supportive, and nonjudgmental she was throughout the whole story. She called out all the stupid behavior like it is and gave the couple the push they needed. That woman is the true hero of this manga. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
