To be honest this series reminds me a lot of Betrayal of Dignity.
ML reminds me a lot of Damian on how he manipulates the female lead into choosing his side, opening situations and opportunities in which she would have to choose him since he's the safest and richest option in her current circumstances.
FL though is very much different from Chloe. I know circumstances has driven her to go to him but girl, you know a red flag when you see one but maybe out of desperation, you'll get blind.
I'm not saying the series is bad or comparing it to said series I mentioned, the tension and smut is actually good, it's just that I find it irritating how ML manipulates her and she doesn't seem to see it even though people are warning her.
Still, I'll see where this goes as I'm curious as to what things should be uncovered in both ML and FL.
Economy sucks but I think dooshik was right in saying that its for the best that jooha is not letting out any pearls since because of those fountain pearls that jooha was violated couple of times by different people.
He was used as an ATM (pearls) at the same time a convenient hole for those horny folks back at the island or wherever that was. I think it really is for the best. Sure, dooshik started off as wanting to get those pearls but he realized that those were the reason why jooha has suffered so much and it being gone is somehow a symbol of moving on to those awful memories and start new, whether they turn rich or poor since that is life. They can always start something at least we don't get to see Dooshik suffering anymore for him being remembered by jooha as the evil being right?
Guys let's chill out ok? Next week will be the last chapter of the series. He'll turn back into him again ok? He wont recognize our uke at first (child form) but evenly he will, since I said, it will be the last chapter. No loli romance or child love story, it's just purely reliving their past memories since hyo-un is sick, he turned into a child.
I saw this kind of happening in a different Manhwa where the character gets sick, & their powers grow weaker for a while so they turn into a child in order to regain strength again. That's what happened.
I wasn't supposed to spoil but God the comments are getting out of hand with the "turning into a child romance" or "don't tell me he's gonna get freaky with the child version".
But let's just take this as a different interpretation from the novel. I know everyone is nitpicking the mood, the change in story, the climactic moments was gone, but let's just understand this version ok?
Let's not discredit or literally hate the Manhwa author just because he/she changed how it's played out in the novel. I've encountered countless Manhwa that didn't stick to the novel or even a 1:1 adaptation but in a new reader's standpoint it still is good. Don't get me wrong, I've read the novel and it sucks that the author didn't stick to the plot direction but us novel readers should consider as well the Manhwa-only readers.
If their viewpoints are okay, then we gotta respect those as they haven't read the novel. The more we spoil them what actually happend, they tend to be discouraged to read the story as a whole and as a Manhwa-only reader's viewpoint. I'm not saying that we don't have the right to rant or complain but let's just respect each other's viewpoint and not put blame immediately. I've been seeing these comments long before and I guess it's time for me to point it out. If you'll hate me for this, I respect that, not everyone would like my take.
But this issue on sticking to novel in Manhwa has been a problem to Manhwa readers only as they tend to not read the story for it's own version but rather nitpick what needs to be nitpick as "it didn't stick to the novel". Manhwa and novel are different so let's respect the decision they made for the story as Manhwa is very hard to do. Like, let's not discredit the effort of the author to pull this chapter out despite the choices in the story.
Thank you (=・ω・=)
To some it seems that the lines Jitae said were corny or cringe but for me it was a genuine in the moment feeling.
Like it's an intimate moment for them. That they want to f*ck not just to satisfy their bodies but to confirm that they are on the same page now, somehow a physical proof that they will be together to surpass this. No more sacrifices, no more leaving someone out, just them.
For me the lines were not cringe coz If I were Mieum, I would feel that Jitae wants a confirmation that no matter the circumstances, he is there for him. that for so many years that he is careful with who he associates with coz maybe they're spies, he found a safe haven from Mieum were he can be vulnerable, were no one would judge him or stab him in the back. Just pure innocence, love, and comfort.
Idk, if the lines sound funny or unfit for you, as long as for me I felt what these two want to convey, I'm already settled as a reader. It's what authors somewhat wants us to see that regardless of the bad translation or lines, we ought to see the intent and feelings of those lines blurted out by the characters.
For those who are confused. This is between after 2nd marriage and before the kids
Though last time it was already an epilogue with the kids in it, let's just think that these new chapters are like side stories that tells us that something happened before they got the kids and after they got married the second time.
And wouldn't we want to punish that bitch ass husband of Hannah for trying to kill her and cheating on her? I'm so happy that Frede really doesn't care if he's not accustomed to the new world he's seeing as long as he can be with Ayla/Hannah and can protect her from that douche, he's fine. Divorce is coming for you man!
What I hope is that after this, they get to have a date in the real world like trying new things that Frede hasn't tried, before they go home
