Prolly because its realistic? I feel like it represents the bittersweet reality of life, relationships, and fear. The character development is there, but it hasn't changed a lot. The development is in regards to his willingness to look around and open up. Further change starts with that- I kinda enjoyed they didn't show the whole process or a 180 flip. They quite litterally showed a "spark" and left the rest to imagination (at least rn). Its cool. . (づ￣ ³￣)づ

Well, it's true that it's unrealistic that this is happening too fast, but it's also realistic in the sense that the brother is also a victim himself. Abused victims have a higher chance of becoming an abuser after all.

Yep, that was my main issue with this. It just works like that sometimes tho?? I've seen people do 180's in the matter of minutes before. . . It's simply my take that scenarios like that require someone strong and a big event. Almost like a forced therapy session speedrun. Its not the rule tho, just an observation of mine. So I quite like how it played out.
