omg yeah like i do know some manhwa who use slang through the raw etc but when ppl translate it one that doesn’t even use slang and try to import it into the manhwa its so like literally it won’t fit well. they did that in semantic error lmfoaaoo

While I agree with the sentiment that using modern slang in translations is kinda weird (seeing the word poggers used in a translation was... interesting), yapping isn't actually a new word. Originally it refers to the high pitched barking of small dogs. But the informal and kinda derogatory meaning of excessive/annoying talking has been around for at least a couple decades now
