Also can someone please explain guideverse to me, I keep seeing it being brought up in the bl community and I've genuinely never come across anything like it before
Well, i try. :)

I'm really impatient so I usually go and read the novel immediately, but for TSCTIR I genuinely don't understand anything that's happening. It's such a great story and I love the world building and characters and it's super awesome that I have access to websites where I can read the novel for free, but the translations a bit..... especially compared to novels like orv or solo leveling, and I was honestly quite disappointed. HOWEVER!!!!!! The manhua adaption (imo) absolutely leaves the other two in the dust. I can actually understand the story, the art is gorgeous, and it just all around feels so much more solid in pacing, conversations, character building, etc etc.
I understand the concern y'all have but,,,, this story was never healthy to begin with? I think a lot of you overlooked the red flags because of the good chemistry between Jin and Matthew, and the fact that both characters are extremely charismatic in their own ways. However Jin has always used people for his own goals with no concern towards others and Matthew is portrayed as a sociopath (though I could be reaching here) who is overbearing and has little compassion or empathy for others, both had a take-take relationship that was honestly never that healthy to begin with.
This doesn't mean I hate them though! I absolutely adore how Jaxx writes these characters and the changes they both go through throughout the story, I think they are realistic characters who both have extremely real struggles
