Absolutely stupid. They are cute together if you forget all the blackmail and rape stuff. It literally wasn't necessary to the plot at all? Like , he forgot his underwear - big deal??? He can just laugh it off and talk about how he forgot to do laundry. Ain't a big deal. They took a stupid reason and then added smth serious like blackmail, hidden photography/video, harassment and rape. The mc was also genuinely scared at some points in the manga in the beginning.
