So we all agree on rereading ahahahaha

Except he didn't lie. They're legally married to each other. The way I would've pulled out the receipts

Well, I've never given them any "chances". It's a mafia story; not saying it's based on the truth but some irl stories of ex-mafia/gang/yakuza members are horror stories that are just much worse. Like the father who conditioned his daughter to sleep with other gang members/leaders for business relations, but somehow the bond between father and daughter is extremely tight but also messed up. Like he would kill anyone who hurt her but he also puts her in harms way and cut off her finger once.

I think for a lot of us normal people, we just can't comprehend fjckrd up stuff like this.
In Caesar and Leewon's case, honestly? Leewon has a powerful mafia father who would pull out all the arsenals to take down Caesar if Leewon just said the word. Caesar on the other hand needs a psychologist cuz he's obviously got a mental disorder of some kind. Their relationship is straight up toxic and it's not trying to be cutesy, although we all seem to forget sometimes with some light hearted/funny chapters.

It's a mafia relationship and the author is envisioning it as being the most toxic fxxed up shit ever and considering the context we can't even blame them. It's not like sa and violence is being normalized in the manhwa. It's definitely shown as being negative, but Leewon also has some kind of weird attachment/stockholm-esque love for Caesar for him to forgive him every time.

Omg kiddo. Hahahahaha

Oh no. Caesar is going to lock up Leewon again huh

I think the ending had a bitter taste of reality tbh. Life is long and usually there's no happily ever afters; that much was conveyed by the author. Touji and Kiyoto started off their relationship in the wrong way - Kiyoto was a rebound after Touji got his heart tragically broken and sleeping with Kiyoto was what opened him to his feelings for Yachiyo. After that, he locked and hid those feelings away to run away from his problems.

When he met Yachiyo at the funeral, even though he loved Kiyoto now, his instinct was to get comfort from Yachiyo but he knew he couldn't anymore so he bottled it all up even with Kiyoto there.

Point is, Touji'a inability to understand his and other people's feelings until it's too late is making him an emotional wreck. He never moved on from Yachiyo whilst simultaneously loving Kiyoto. He still dreams about Yachiyo well into his relationship and even after saying "no I don't want to see him".

Touji still held on to the button from the wedding day; a physical fragment of his existing feelings, which was slowly unravelling after meeting up again. For Kiyoto, he probably didn't want to be there to find out if Touji would wind up picking Yachiyo over him. He even just knew that it may not be him and the pain would be worse later. Besides, what better way to find out what you want than to break up and stay single and sort out your emotions. After he does that, and he still loves Kiyoto then there's that. Kiyoto seemed fully resigned though.

I feel like this manga would've fared better if it was longer with a conclusive end. Instead it's short and open-ended, which leaves a bitter taste but i get it. Even though it shows it as if touji and yachiyo get together, it could also be that they don't after everything. They may see completely different people after moving on, touji could go back to kiyoto, or they may date and break up later. It's life. Shit happens.

I'm surprised so many of you are against what he's said hahaha. He's 100% right. So many failed marriages because the children were put first in every situation and then the parents neglect their relationship with each other.

Those children were born because of the love between 2 people and their marriage. If that isn't maintained, then those children lose a stability, learning about healthy love, a strong support system.

As a child of 2 people that remained together despite hating each other because of the kids, they didn't do us any favours. They should've worked on maintaining the love for each other or just divorced. All of the offsprings have been traumatised in many ways now.

While, to the children, she is first and foremost their mother. Ayla herself is Ayla before anything else - a woman, a businesswoman, Frede's wife, etc. She became a mother later.

I dont dislike the uke because he rejected Taiga. I dislike him Kei because of his attitude towards life. The reason why a lot of us felt that the ending was rushed or smth was missing is because they never really had Kei grow. Taiga was the only doing the growing and there's a lot of loose ends not tied.

1) Kei quit his passion and continues to run away from something he loves because he burnt out. And I get it - I'm a nurse with a Masters and didn't take a single break in between all the studying whilst also working. I know burn out. I've burnt out 3 times very severely. And I'm fully aware that giving up and doing other things is perfectly OK however, the manga made it a point to highlight the difference between Kei and Taiga. Taiga throws his entire self into what he does - he has a reckless and dangerous way of pursuing his passion; meanwhile Kei gives up quickly and runs. The author started Kei off as a flawed person (same as Taiga btw) but they half-assed him so he comes across as shallow and undeserving. That's also why many people dislike him even more when he rejected Taiga. His character was already hard to like.

2) i don't know if we all read the same thing but his reasoning for rejecting seme didn't make sense? I understand that he has trust issues (once again smth I relate hard to. I've been told I'm like a porcupine), but Taiga straight up confessed to him and laid out his feelings bare. He showed him what his exes never did in the past - a long, undying unrequited love that he's continued in the same way he holds his passion for acting AND Kei also acknowledges it. And Kei makes it a point to express that that is what he wants so why did he...reject? He could've asked Taiga to wait for him cause he's not ready etc. but instead he calls Taiga a liar; the author made it seem like Taiga half-assed the confession hence why Kei was insecure.
But then he flips on that on that ship ride to the island. That's another instance where ai think the story was just rushed in the end.

Overall, Kei's decision-making doesn't make sense. Taiga is a 3D character but Kei is very 2D. They didn't explore enough with him, let him grow, nor did they connect the plot point they laid out properly. It just...was a disappointing read overall. Especially cuz I loved the art and enjoyed the first few chapters. I liked Kei at first then he just didn't grow whilst persisting in this negative Nancy mindset until the very last chapter where, the immature Kei makes a decision unlike himself and makes it seem like he grew but in reality he didn't.

Also the ending was like ?? Taiga tied up his loose ends and wants to go overseas - does them getting together mean he's halted that plan? Once again, that would've required a few more chapters to come to a conclusion about.

I love the manager and handsome-kun BUT their dynamic deserves its own separate manga. It contrasts hugely to the vibe that this manga and the main couple give in general. Their relationship is more on the mature/passionate side. I'd classify it more as yaoi than shonen ai.

Author adding the 2nd couple now when the 1st couple aren't even a proper couple yet is...just going to draw the attention completely away.

Ngl, I really hope they didn't twinkify him in the side stories to make them "match" more. They're alphas and both males. I loved that Damon was actually sometimes beefier than Colton. Here's to praying and hoping

ML is a sociopath isn't he?

I know everyone is saying he's trying to protect MC but uhh those reactions are in private, where MC isn't even present. He is absolutely pissed off and disgusted by the MC. Doesn't seem like pretense. This why I say love ain't real

You're not really worried about your grades. You're just too anxious and afraid to get into a relationship. You're afraid to lay out your heart bare to someone else and you're too used to not being picked that the attention now is causing you to flee. You're me. And the solo life isn't bad but a day will come when the silence of the walls will echo loud and no amount of company with friends or family will fill the void.

It's true that the saying "right person, wrong time" exists but we live in a temporary world where some people don't even live past 20. It's best to jump into a relationship and pursue the people you wish even if heart break lies at the end of it. At least then you've lived life and are not left wondering "what if"

(I say all this but I still won't do it myself

I reread the last chapter just to check the sudden change and actually ML was thinking " I need to hide him so no one can get to him" and now he's shunning him and telling him he will get him out. I think it's a ploy. But if it isn't, we'll, f him.
