Everyone is acting like a gotcha moment happened when it rlly didn't change that much. He tried to send one letter then failed. Then stopped， I don't fault him for safety reasons, but his whole speech literally backs up that he got what he wanted(invitation) and was leaving him and the house.
Like he never intended to meet him again from his statement, no one loved me as much as him etc and goodbye. He then talked about himself and not once but how Karel could be dead in the front lines.
