When I see characters like Yijun get mistreated and go through shit, the romance aspect really becomes a curse. Cause they'll still be the endgame. Add to the wound when there's a 2nd ML who's presented to be a more healthy partner.
I guess this is why I kinda dig separation for healing, time skip, and reencounter tropes lol cause dang it's good when they get some healing first and feel a little more stable and whole
