People keep bitcbing about romance like it will automatically kill the story. A story can be good even with romance, it can even enhance it. The MC doesn't seem loke the type to parade a harem around anyway. Holding a prejudice against any semblance of romance is rather silly.
Typically because in harems, there are the “useless females” that get in the way of the MC so I think that’s what most people are worried about. I’m glad that this MC is actually harsh on his party and stated how he would abandon them if they continued to act foolish and such.
I don’t like harems either in a good action/adventure story bc they bring in the useless female characters which has ruined a lot of good potential mangas (and a lot of manhuas ive read).
I saw in the comments where there was a harem in the LN so i’m hoping it’ll be different in the manhwa and keeps going like this. If it seems they aren’t weak and do help the MC i probably wouldn’t mind a harem depending on how annoying they are.

For me it's because it seems so out of character for him to be having romantic feelings for anyone in his caravan, much less multiple and them all being okay with being in a polyamorous relationship. I liked his character a lot because he seemed so much more focused on his goal then his people, and his mentor-esque position was really admirable to me. considering he's so much older than them mentally it just seems a bit iffy too.
I thought itd be diffrent but all the author did was switch the names where alpha act like omega and ditto. Nothing really diffrent or unique
